Rain -Soaked Franchi

At the beating heart of Milan — where history lingers between austere façades and wrought-iron balconies — the district of Corso di Porta Romana was transformed into an open-air theatre beneath the rain.

Droplets fell with almost poetic insistence, sketching flashes of light across the cobblestones and sliding along the metal tram tracks that curved through the street like lines on an urban pentagram. In this quintessentially Milanese setting, woman emerged not merely as the protagonist of a collection, but as the embodiment of an attitude.

It was within the majestic Palazzo Acerbi — the 17th-century jewel known as the “House of the Devil” — that the vision took shape. Its walls, steeped in legend and memory, framed the latest proposal by Elisabetta Franchi, who envisioned a woman of the future: feminine, magnetic, self-possessed and untouched by fear.

At the palace entrance, beneath torrential rain, renowned guests including Elisabetta Gregoraci, Laura Chiatti, Toni Garrn, Adot Gak, Olivia Palermo, Eleonora Abbagnato and Evelyn Kazantzoglou delivered a powerful lesson in artistry and courage. They walked, they posed, they held their gaze. Rain poured over the gowns, reshaping silhouettes and turning structure into movement. Each woman relinquished the pristine perfection of fabric for something far more compelling: authenticity.

As photographers struggled to steady cameras beneath wavering umbrellas and rain-soaked hands, the women remained composed — defying conventional aesthetics, refusing filters, shedding prejudice, unafraid of the imperfections the storm imposed.

The Spring–Summer 2026 collection entered into dialogue with that very moment. Conceived to explore the interplay of light and shadow inherent in human nature, it highlighted both the powdered softness of femininity and its darker, more enigmatic dimension of seduction. Pink neon lights, cast as a visual filter, bathed the scene in an almost dreamlike glow, creating a striking counterpoint between delicacy and daring.

Under the rain of Porta Romana, the woman of Elisabetta Franchi did more than wear a collection — she embodied a statement. Amid historic architecture, passing trams and glistening cobblestones, she proved that true elegance does not retreat in the face of challenge.
