Nero Carnale Roberto Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli indulges in the luxury of shadows, challenging all of us photographers who strive to bear witness to feminine presences capable of arresting both breath and time during Milan Fashion Week FW 2026-2027.
Within the monumental Fonderia Carlo Macchi, a former foundry transformed into an immersive stage, the FW26-27 collection unfolds as a tangible dream, bringing the third day of Fashion Week to a close with a proposition as intense as it is theatrical.
Nero Carnale Roberto Cavalli is a celebration of darkness. A grand nocturnal fête where fashion, art, music, and cinema converge in a deeply sensory experience.
Under the creative direction of Fausto Puglisi, black ceases to be the absence of colour and becomes an absolute presence. This “nero” does not dim the Cavalli universe; it sharpens its focus, amplifies its essence, and renders it even more magnetic.
The show opens in this manner: a compact mass of profound black. Gradually, fissures of light emerge, flashes of colour appearing only once the spectator’s gaze has adjusted to this new darkness.
Black then becomes a surface to be traversed and explored. Python and crocodile-effect leathers, jaguar-inspired jacquards, touches of vinyl, and printed silks construct a visual narrative of remarkable power and sophistication. Every texture reflects light rather than absorbs it, revealing a fierce and contemporary elegance.
For Puglisi, black is festive, glamorous, and provocative. It is a colour so intense that it ultimately transforms itself into many colours at once. Throughout the collection, a constant dialogue unfolds between rigidity and fluidity, strength and sensuality.
Beyond the venue, darkness continues to dominate the scene. Yet another spectacle begins among camera flashes, towering LED screens, and the arrival of celebrities and distinguished guests. An anonymous street is transformed into an authentic cinematic set where stars embody Cavalli’s most recognisable codes: sheer fabrics, strategic cut-outs, plunging necklines, and metallic textiles capable of capturing every glimmer of light.
Nero Carnale Roberto Cavalli is not merely a collection. It is a declaration of identity. A tribute to seduction, to elegant excess, and to Roberto Cavalli’s enduring ability to reinvent glamour without ever relinquishing its wildest and most instinctive essence.
